Friday, Oct. 6

9-11 a.m.: High School poets, Barbara Concannon-Crete Memorial Poetry Prize, Lowell High School.

11:30 a.m.: Harry Scholler Jazz Presentation, David Amram, Lowell High School.

1 p.m.: "Hey, Jack Kerouac" downtown walking tour. Call 970-5000.

1-4 p.m.: Kerouac/Beats Film Series, Boott Cotton Mills Museum/Events Center.

4:30 p.m.: "Mystic Jack" walking tour.

6 p.m.: Memorial Mass for Jack and Stella Kerouac, St. Louis de France Church.

6:30 p.m.: Poetry/music, Barnes & Noble bookstore.

6-8 p.m.: Exhibition opening for Deborah Randall paintings, reception for Lowell Blues filmmaker Henry Ferrini, UMass Lowell's University Gallery.

8 p.m.: Premiere of Henry Ferrini's Lowell Blues, followed by discussion, O'Leary Library, UMass Lowell.

10 p.m.: "The Merrimack River: Mighty Napo of New England" walking tour, begins Mammoth Road & Pawtucket Blvd.

Saturday, Oct. 7

1 p.m.: "Cairo to Kerouac: World Music and Poetry for Children of All Ages," with David Amram, Whistler House Museum of Art.

3 p.m.: "Kerouac, Jazz & Blues A Roundtable Discussion," Whistle House Museum/Parker Gallery. With Amram, writer/professor Douglas Brinkley, Anthony Mele, Rawn Spearman.

8 p.m.-midnight: "Jazz in Jack's Neighborhood," jazz and readings with Evan Goodrow Band, Amram, others, Centralville Social Club. ($3)
